The town is a short drive into the Lakes and Yorkshire Dales it is the perfect location for lovers of the outdoors with walks available from your front door and it is a great area for cyclists too with lots of cycle tracks and routes in the area. The first week in September the town hosts a Victorian Fair which has a real street vibe and there is a market held every Thursday in the town square with some lovely local produce on offer. To the rear of the property there is a tiered enclosed garden which has a nice seating area and BBQ and is a great sun trap and perfect to watch the sun set and enjoy a glass of wine and make plans for the rest of your stay.
