The property built in 1841 is situated for making the most of the idyllic Peak District countryside located 1000 above sea level with spectacular views within the Peak Park. Bring your walking boots and explore the abundance of footpaths and cycle paths on your doorstep. The local village offers country pubs so you can enjoy a rest from cooking dinner. Also worth visiting is the nearby market town of Bakewell a great spot for meandering through the various cafes and shops. The historical spa town of Buxton has an opera house and theatre for those guests looking for a bit of culture. Within easy reach of some spectacular walking routes through the surrounding countryside including the Derwent Reservoir and rock-climbing spots including Curbar Edge and Stanage Edge. Also worth a visit is close by Haddon Hall and a little further is the spectacular Hardwick House. Step into the character hallway with stone floor and space to hang coats and store boots. The open-plan kitchen/diner is bright and inviting with everything you need for a relaxing stay such as an Everhot range oven and hob fridge/freezer dishwasher and microwave and the central island is a wonderful place to congregate. You will also find a nearby handy utility space with washing machine and tumble dryer. There is a dining table situated in the most spectacular space surrounded by glass windows encapsulating the surrounding views providing a special place to enjoy a celebration dinner. There are two lounges which are perfect for relaxing with after dinner drinks and have a warm and inviting style with plenty of comfort light the open fire or wood burner and in one of the lounges you can put your feet up by the TV. The ground floor bedroom offers a double bed and en-suite shower room and WC. Heading upstairs to the first floor the cottage offers two further double bedrooms one with en-suite shower room and WC and the other with en-suite bathroom with bath and WC. Relax in the garden with impressive views over the surrounding countryside. There is a garden table and benches and charcoal BBQ which are great for dining outside during warm summer evenings. There is ample off-road parking. Need to know: 3 bedrooms doubles. 1 en suite bathroom and 2 en suite shower rooms. Everhot range oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave and washer/dryer. Wood burner and open fire (logs provided). Electric and central heating included. Ample off road parking. 2 dogs welcome. Pub and shop 2 miles. Bike storage available. TV in lounge.
