The harbour is the main focal point of the town but in recent years it has also become known for its arts scene and there are several galleries and workshops which are lovely to spend an afternoon browsing. The restaurants as visitors might expect mostly specialise in the local seafood brought home by the fishermen and there are plenty which are well-regarded some offering stunning sea views. Beach-lovers won t be disappointed as the town boasts several beaches from the main Breakwater Beach to the quiet and secluded St Mary s Bay. Many of the amenities and cottages in Brixham are access via steps some of which can be steep.. Please contact us if you have any specific requirements. There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Brixham do not have private parking. However , alternative parking is available in local carparks.
