Visit the historic canal explore the shore watch sailboats bobbing on the sea cycle local paths or enjoy freshly caught seafood. Visit Arduaine gardens (17 miles) or explore the wider region of Argyll and Bute which offers a wide range of activities for guests of all ages. On arrival head up the gravel driveway and take two steps up to the property entrance where a warm welcome awaits with a cosy ambience of traditional antiques country-style tartans and contemporary furnishings creating a rustic and homely feel. Relax in the spacious sitting room which is flooded with light from the many windows coupled with an upper mezzanine gallery and double-height ceilings. On cooler evenings enjoy favourite films together relaxing on cosy sofas by the warming wood burner or grab a favourite book and get cosy by the wonderful bay window seat which offers inspiring coastal views. Upstairs (the ground floor) offers a sun room a kitchen with a dining table for family meals a handy utility room a double bedroom with an en-suite shower room a family bathroom a twin bedroom and a double mezzanine bedroom overlooking the sitting room (note: mezzanine not suitable for younger children). On sunny days open the sitting room doors and dine alfresco on the decked balcony which also leads to the garden where there s seating to enjoy the fresh air. For shoreside adventures follow the garden path towards a coastal viewpoint and leafy woodland where a trail of rugged steps and a handrail lead down to the picturesque harbour. Or if you can t tear yourself away from the cosy cottage then head into the games room and challenge fellow-guests to table tennis championships. There s a bar cafe and restaurant within a mile and you ll find parking available for three cars.
