Heading east along the coast you can explore Ringstead Bay (3.5 miles) and Lulworth Cove (11 miles) and encounter the natural arch of Durdle Door (10 miles). To the west is the popular seaside town of Weymouth (5 miles) with its beautiful crescent bay long sandy beaches and popular attractions including Sandworld and the Jurassic Skyline. Heading inland you can visit Monkey World (10.5 miles) the Tank Museum (11 miles) or some of the places associated with Thomas Hardy including his birthplace in Higher Bockhampton (9.5 miles) and his home in Dorchester (8 miles). Three stone steps lead up into this delightful cottage. On entering you will find the welcoming lounge which retains several original features including a beamed ceiling pine floorboards and a wood burner set in a stone inglenook.
