The mountainside landscape around the lake naturally lends itself to a range of land-based pursuits ranging from climbing and hiking at the Old Man of Coniston to gorge scrambling and mountain biking. For a more leisurely day trip take a cruise on the National Trust owned Victorian steam yacht which runs around the lake departing from Coniston Pier. On arrival at this semi-detached property guests will find a warm welcome awaits in the lounge a delightful room with wooden floors a warming wood burner and a Smart TV.
