This delightful cottage is situated at the end of a long unadopted farm track and makes the perfect location for those who would like to enjoy a peaceful holiday and yet be in easy reach of some of Cornwall s best beaches. The cottage retains much of its original character in one of Cornwall s most popular area and while having a remote feel the property is only two miles from the pretty harbour at Port Isaac which guests may recognise as the location for the TV series Doc Martin. Only slightly further afield is the town of Padstow renowned as Cornwall s food capital thanks to its restaurants seafood shops and connections to the chef Rick Stein who has made the town the base for his extensive business ventures. The town of Tintagel home to the legendary King Arthur is an easy drive from the property and is home to the famous castle and also to the wizard Merlin s beachfront cave. There are numerous attractions to suit all tastes including The Eden Project Land s End and numerous National Trust properties Entering the cottage through the cosy sun room into the utility room and in to the hallway a door leads into the open-plan lounge/diner which has exposed beams and a cosy open fire for which the first basket of logs is provided. Guests will find their modern creature comforts here too with a TV Smart Blu-ray player and iPod dock. The dining table sits in the bay window which has built in seating and enjoys views across the fields towards the sea. Heading back across the hallway is the kitchen has a homely feel and is well-equipped with an electric oven and hob microwave fridge and dishwasher whilst the separate utility room houses a fridge/freezer washing machine and tumble dryer. The bathroom is also located on the ground floor and offers a bath separate shower cubicle and WC. Upstairs there are four bedrooms. The first a Master double with en-suite shower and WC has French doors onto a balcony with views out to sea. There are three further bedrooms: a double and two singles. Outside there is a pretty enclosed garden with views over the farmland and coastline. The garden is partially set to lawn with a paved seating area and BBQ ideal for al fresco dining or to watch the beautiful sunsets. There is ample parking outside the cottage.
