In Hawkshead visitors can find a number of shops pubs and National Trust properties including the Beatrix Potter Gallery which is based in the former workplace of her husband William Heelis. Lake Windermere the longest lake in the region is just a fifteen-minute drive from the property. Entering this lovely semi-detached cottage guests come straight into the welcoming kitchen/diner with its dining table oven hob fridge freezer microwave and dishwasher whilst the washing machine is housed in an under-stairs cupboard.
