The cottage is located in the charming village of Buxworth and is just a stones throw from the beautifully restored Bugworth Basin next to the canal in the High Peak. When the canal was first built it became the biggest inland port in the country being able to moor over 100 boats. The nature and tranquillity surrounds you when meandering down the canal. Why not take a trip and explore the four show caves at Castleton Peak Cavern Speedwell Cavern Treak Cliff Cavern and Blue John Mine. The stunning Chatsworth House gardens and farm shop are a short drive away. The popular towns of Bakewell Buxton Matlock and Ashbourne offer an array of shops cafes and pubs to enjoy. Entering the mid terrace cottage from the front of a pretty tree lined street you step into the lounge which offers a comfortable sofa and two chairs where you can relax and unwind in front of the traditional open fire which is the focal point of the room. You will find a TV/DVD good selection of books board games and DVDs if the weather isn t on your side. Walking through to the well-equipped kitchen which offers everything you may need for your stay including electric oven and hob fridge/freezer washing machine and dishwasher. The central dining table seats two but an extra table can be added to provide snug dining for four. Upstairs you will find two bedrooms one double and one king-size and a shower room with shower and WC. Stepping out from the kitchen you reach a small yard area. Following the steep concrete steps leads you to the peaceful enclosed elevated garden with patio stone gravelled area and outdoor seating for enjoying those summer evenings. Parking is roadside parking to the front of the property. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 king size and 1 double. 1 shower room. Electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine.
