You can take a cruise on Loch Ness or visit the Loch Ness Exhibition Centre and Urquhart Castle which are within easy reach. Close by at Drumnadrochit and Fort Augustus you will find a selection of shops restaurants and pubs. The vibrant city of Inverness is around an hour away. On entering this delightful converted barn head up to the first floor where you will find the beautiful and welcoming open-plan lounge/diner. This is a relaxing and tastefully furnished space with original exposed beams a charming dining area and a selection of books games and DVDs. Stepping outside you can relax and enjoy the spectacular views from the well-maintained 50 acre estate on the banks of Loch Ness. There are paths along the Loch with others leading through the wooded estate to a pond with an island and a charming Summer house where you can read and relax or watch the birds and wildlife. There are very few opportunities to actually walk along the shores of Loch Ness but Old Farm has about a mile of shoreline you can explore. Fishing in both the pond and Loch Ness can also be arranged. There is a rowing boat available for use on the pond only; life jackets are provided.
