This holiday home is perfect for families or friends who want to spend time away together and is a fantastic base for exploring Exmoor and the coast and for taking part in the wealth of activities this beautiful area has to offer. These include every watersport you can think of plus hiking biking horse riding golf shooting fishing birdwatching and visiting the area s many historic houses and picturesque villages. South Molton is a charming historic market town. From the house it is an easy walk to the bustling indoor market and there is a good supermarket plenty of independent shops including two butchers The Cheese Larder a bakery two chemists gift shops and numerous restaurants cafés fish and chip shops and pubs to choose from. There is also a museum a honey farm several churches a petrol station and a library. Accessed via an ancient cobbled pathway this characterful detached home is light-filled and airy. The spacious hall has an efficient wood burner places to hang coats and store muddy boots and a useful cloakroom with WC. The comfortable sitting room has a feature fireplace with woodstove and a TV with amazon firestick. The well-equipped kitchen features a Rangemaster cooker an American-style fridge/freezer dishwasher washing machine and a large refectory-style dining table making it the perfect room to enjoy mealtimes together. Upstairs there are three bedrooms: one king-size one double and one twin (which can be made into a king - this must be stated at the time of booking). There is also a family bathroom with a bath and shower mixer taps and a WC and a convenient separate shower room. Stepping outside from either the kitchen or the sitting room you will find a sunny and well-stocked walled garden a lovely spot for al fresco dining and relaxing at the end of a great day. There is a pond (covered with safety net) with fish which you are welcome to feed (food supplied). Although there is no parking immediately outside the cottage it is possible to drive up to the side of the cottage to unload the car. There is an allocated parking space available behind the Pannier Market on Southley Road and free roadside parking close by subject to availability. Need to know: 3 bedrooms 1 king size, 1 double and 1 twin (can be made be made into a king, must be requested at the time of booking). 2 bathrooms 1 bathroom, 1 shower room plus 1 cloakroom. Range cooker with gas hob and electric ovens, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Electric and electric heating included. Wood burner (first basket of logs included). Wi Fi included. Allocated parking space available behind the pannier market just a short walk away from the property; further free roadside parking (subject to availability). 1 dog welcome. Shops, cafes, pubs, takeaways and a twice weekly market all walking distance. TV in lounge. Please note that there is a pond in the enclosed courtyard with safety netting.
