The farm overlooks Sugar Loaf mountain offering easy access for walkers and cyclists from your front door and further down the Bryn Awr Valley you will see the table top mountain and Pen y Fan on a clear day. Other local activities include horse riding and even gliding. In the nearby market town of Abergavenny you will find a Norman Castle farmers markets and the fabulous Food Festival each September. Brecon Hay-on-Wye Cardiff and Hereford are all in easy reach as well as Wales Industrial Heritage sites in Blaenavon. Set within the Brecon Beacons National Park and within a dark skies area this beautifully converted Victorian railway carriage offers stargazing straight from your bed. The carriage which was originally used in the construction of the reservoir at the head of the valley has a picture window that slides open onto a deck with the most amazing views. The carriage has been restored with the owner s own hard wood with a bespoke kitchen and wood burner for your home comforts while its blissfully soft double bed has generous storage space beneath. Furthermore there is a fabulous wet room dining table and two comfy armchairs which complete the furnishings. The railway carriage is positioned within 30 acres of the owner s farm and smallholding offering a welcoming greeting with an array of friendly animals on site. For a lazy afternoon there is a hammock for two set within the orchard. There is ample off-road parking and within minutes from the carriage you can leave your car behind and pick up the footpath to the summit of the Sugar Loaf Mountain.
