The most famous of the lakes Windermere is situated just 5 miles from the property and is a great place to enjoy browsing the shops and perhaps stocking up on picnic supplies before spending a day on the water. Around the lake there are several places to hire boats and other water craft or you can hop on board one of the leisure cruises which run up and down the water at a relaxing pace allowing visitors to fully appreciate the beautiful surroundings.
