Saxlingham village is a quiet spot in the rural Norfolk offering many miles of scenic walks and cycle rides direct from the property s front door. In the neighbouring village of Langham 1.5 miles from the property the welcoming pub can be reached on foot or by car and is a great place to retreat to in the evening either for dinner or just drinks. Head north from the village some 5 miles to reach the North Norfolk coast with the shingle beach in the village of Cley-next-the-sea being the nearest beach to the property. For sandy beaches there are wonderful places to explore in Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham both of which are situated within 11 miles of the property. Entering through the property s heavy door which originates from the time when it was the village forge guests come directly into the spacious open-plan living area with its impressive vaulted ceiling. Once inside this homely space guests can make themselves at home in the lounge area and unwind with a film on the TV/DVD whilst enjoying the warming glow emanating from the wood burner. At the opposite end of the room the kitchen area has a dining table seating four as well as an oven hob microwave fridge/freezer dishwasher and washing machine. A door from the living area leads into a hallway off from which guests will find the double bedroom a cosy room with a dual-aspect windows. Next to the bedroom the bathroom offers a shower-over-bath and WC. To the front of the cottage the garden is mainly set to lawn as well as offering a pleasant patio seating area with garden furniture and views across the surrounding countryside.
