The Peak District National Park is a haven of beautiful countryside. Whether its rambling the hills or cycling the traffic free trails you are not short of things to do. The property is within easy reach of the gorgeous country houses of Chatsworth and Haddon Hall which are ideal for afternoon walks. The nearby pretty market town of Bakewell lies in the heart of the National Park and offers a great place for meandering through the various shops cafes and restaurants don t forget to try a Bakewell Pudding. Visit Critch Tramway for unlimited tram rides in a recreated village street. Just up the road is Peak Rail which provides fantastic steam train rides through the local villages and the White Peak Loop with trail cycling for everyone. The approach to the cottage is through the owner s driveway and over a few steps to the path which leads to your front door. Step into the cottage which takes you into the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner where you can make yourself comfortable and enjoy the facilities on offer so kick your shoes off and enjoy the warming underfloor heating. The kitchen area provides everything you need for a home away from home stay such as electric oven and induction hob fridge freezer and washing machine with nearby dining area with dining table to enjoy that celebration dinner with lovely river views. Relax on the comfy sofa and put your feet up in front of the TV and light the coal effect gas fire on chillier evenings whilst watching the river meander by through the windows. Heading upstairs through the hallway and past the ground floor WC to the master bedroom which offers a super-king-size zip-and-link (which can be made up as a twin on request) enjoy lazy mornings in bed with a good book or pop the TV on and gaze out to the lovely river views. Next door is a beautiful double bedroom with gorgeous river views from both windows and TV. The bathroom is bright and airy offers a shower over bath and WC so don t forget your bubble bath for a long soak after a day hiking the hills. Outside the property has raised decking with seating which overlooks the River Derwent. It is not enclosed so guests travelling with children must take care. Guests staying at the cottage can enjoy fishing rights from the doorstep subject to holding NRA river fishing license. There is no parking directly outside the cottage but provisions are in place for luggage drop off. A parking area can be found a short walk away just the other side of the bridge. Need to know: 2 bedrooms 1 super king size zip and link (which can be made up as a twin on request) and 1 double. 1 bathroom and 1 separate WC. Electric oven and induction hob, fridge, freezer, microwave and washing machine. Electric and central heating included. Free parking area a short walk away. Wi Fi included. Regret no pets. Pub and shop within walking distance. TV in the lounge and both bedrooms.
