This cottage is located in a quiet area of the Yorkshire town of Knaresborough just a short walk from the towns attractive Waterside area where visitors can enjoy leisurely walks alongside the River Nidd where they will find pretty cafes and even a boat hire company. A little further up the river the Nidd Gorge is an excellent location for taking woodland walks in tranquil surroundings. The town itself meanwhile has a good choice of shops as well as pubs and cafes a medieval castle and the fascinating Mother Shiptons Cave. Further afield the towns of Harrogate and York are always worth a visit as are the RHS gardens at Harlow Carr. Stepping inside this period cottage guests will find themselves in the charming lounge with its beamed ceiling and warming wood burner. A bay window offers views over the river whilst there is also a TV/DVD for guests to enjoy. The kitchen/diner is an attractive mix of rustic country styling and contemporary appliances and offers a dining table seating four an oven hob microwave fridge freezer dishwasher and washer/dryer. Upstairs there are two bedrooms the first of which is a restful double room which offers riverside views. A second set of stairs leads directly to the second bedroom which is a family room comprising a double bed and additional single. This room is ideal for a couple with a young child or alternatively can be made up as three single beds to suit three adults or children. The bathroom which is situated close to the first bedroom offers a bath separate shower and WC. A door from the kitchen leads out to the courtyard garden where there is patio furniture and a BBQ allowing guests to easily enjoy al fresco dining. The wood shed can also be found here too.
