Large family friendly cottage in the heart of Polruan a small fishing village in the parish of Lanteglos-by-Fowey in Cornwall bounded on three sides by water. The village has two pubs and a passenger ferry that will take you across to Fowey. The neighbouring village of Bodinnick to the north is connected by a four mile walk along the hill tops. There are plenty of places to go walking from Polruan or if it s a day out you are looking for why not head to visit the tall ships at Charlestown take the brewery tour in St Austell or visit the Eden project and/or the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Also for those interested in stately homes why not visit Lanhydrock in Bodmin. As you arrive and open the stable door you can t help but feel at home as you enter the welcoming sociable lounge/diner with views over the boatyard to the river. Overlooking the working boatyard in the village. Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging.. Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.. There are many small winding streets that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village..
