This property provides a great romantic getaway. The village of Polruan is a small village with only one road in and out a steep hill which goes right through the centre ending on the quay where you will find the sandy tidal beach. There re two local pubs a bakery and tea rooms. Fowey is accessed by short passenger ferry trip where there are many pubs and restaurants to enjoy. The cottage is ideally located to explore all the delights Cornwall has to offer. For walkers there are plenty of walks available including the South West Coast Path Hall Wall. Planning a day trip? Why not visit the Eden Project the Lost Gardens of Heligan. On entering the cottage to the right you will find the shower room with corner shower along the hall you step into the kitchen which is well-equipped with electric oven and hob fridge microwave washing machine and small breakfast table for two. The kitchen has the added benefit of views over the village and River Fowey. There is also access from the kitchen to a small patio area outside the perfect spot for your morning coffee and take in the view. There is also an outhouse utility room with tumble dryer. Proceeding up to the first floor you will find the dining area which has a large table and seating two you can plan your next cliff path walk over a delicious breakfast. French doors lead out to the larger patio area to the back of the cottage. Proceed up a further three steps and you will enter the cosy lounge with river views and an open fire. This is ideal for the romantic getaway make use of the TV/DVD or curl up on the sofa with one of the many books available for you. A door to the rear of the lounge takes you through to the bedroom which is a bright and airy room with a double bed. Heading outside you will find 2 patio areas both are accessed from the house. The larger of the two patios complete with garden furniture can be accessed by a shared path way with 6 stone steps. No private parking parking is available in the local car park charges apply. No Wifi available however 3G / 4G available on most mobile networks. Need to know: 1 double bedroom. 1 shower room. Electric oven and hob, fridge, microwave and washing machine. Polruan is a quaint little village situated on a very steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging. . Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps/ slopes some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements. . There are many small winding streets in and around the village, that are not suitable for cars, therefore many properties in Polruan do not have private parking. However, there is a large pay and display carpark at the top of the village. .
