You can visit the local pubs and café in Polruan or take a short drive to Bodinnick where you will find Ferryside Daphne du Maurier s home (where she wrote her first book). The car ferry leaves from here giving you easy access further into the West of Cornwall or to the North Coast for some surf. Experience all that Cornwall has to offer such as the twin castles of Pendennis and St Mawes cliff top walks hidden coves and beaches fantastic sailing waters the Screech Owl Sanctuary and Wildlife Park and the many National Trust properties and gardens. This traditional cottage has accommodation spread over three floors. On entering the property you will find yourself in the kitchen/diner which is well equipped with electric oven and hob microwave fridge and dishwasher. You can gather around the dining table with seating for 6 and enjoy a family meal. Moving on into the sitting room which is cosy with a 3 seater sofa and 2 armchairs you can watch your favourite series on the smart 40 TV with the multi fuel stove burning in the background. Or take in the fabulous views of the river whilst sitting on the window seat. Heading up the staircase to the first floor you will find two double bedrooms (both with king sized beds) wonderful river views. The master bedroom has a wall mounted smart TV and separate shower room with WC. Proceeding up the staircase to the second floor you will find a twin room again with a view. The family bathroom is accessed through this bedroom and has a bath and WC. And yes .... a view! Stepping outside to the front of the property which is accessible from the kitchen/diner there is a terrace with garden furniture and lovely views of the river. Parking is available in nearby car parks (charges apply). Need to know: 3 bedrooms 2 King, 1 twin 1 bathroom with bath and WC (accessed via bedroom 3). 1 shower room with WC. No car access directly outside the cottage, however, you can unload your car in East Street. Amazing views overlooking the river and working boat yard Please note there are a total 41 steps up to the property and inside the property there is a steep staircase (young children and vulnerable adults should be supervised) There is a step free access via Chapel Lane.. Polruan is a quaint little village on a steep hill, so access to some parts of the village can be challenging. Many of the amenities, ferries and cottages in Polruan are accessed via steps/ slopes, some of which can be steep. Please contact us if you have specific requirements.. There are many small, winding streets in and around the village. Some are not suitable for cars, therefore, many properties in Polruan do not have parking. However, there is a free car park at the very top of the village as you enter on the left hand side just after the caravan site. There is limited parking on the Quay (pay in the Winklepicker shop) or you can park in St Saviour s Hill car park (pay and display), signposted on the left hand side as you enter the village..
