Footpaths start close to the cottage leading to Newbridge Calbourne and to the downs above Brighstone. Here they link with the renowned Tennyson trail to Freshwater Bay. The quiet beaches and small coves of Brighstone Brook and Freshwater are all within an easy drive away while the market town of Newport and Carisbrooke Castle are also nearby. Step into the charming lodge and into the characterful hexagonal shaped kitchen which has been equipped with everything you could need. Cook up a storm on the electric cooker and hob make use of the microwave and fridge/freezer and set the slimline dishwasher to avoid those washing up arguments. There s also a washing machine. Relax in the spacious open-plan lounge which has comfortable seating around a TV/DVD. There s also an attractive dining area beside a window which looks out onto the stunning grounds. Immediately beside the cottage is a lovely enclosed south-facing courtyard with garden furniture. It s the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or perhaps dine al fresco. Nearby there is a summer house for visitor use while the large grounds include lawns woodland an attractive pond and pretty stream. Parking is available on the drive for two to three cars.
