This is a fantastic area for walking and cycling with footpaths leading directly from the cottage to nearby villages and paths which join the beautiful Bembridge Trail. A cycle path links Sandown with the market town of Newport and travels through the pretty villages of Newchurch and Godshill. The lovely sandy beaches of Sandown and Shanklin are within a 10 minute drive. Among many nearby places worth visiting are Amazon Adventure The Garlic Farm The Roman Villa Carisbrooke Castle and the steam railway which you can catch at Havenstreet. Osborne House the island home of Queen Victoria is within a short drive away. On entering this pretty Grade II listed holiday cottage which was converted in 2010 from a milking parlour you will find yourself in the light and attractive open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner a lovely and airy space with a vaulted ceiling attractive beams and floor to ceiling glass tri-fold doors which can be folded back to make the garden seem part of the living room. With comfortable seating TV/DVD the bright and welcoming lounge is an ideal space to relax in. You will also find a delightful dining area. A washer/dryer is provided in a small separate utility area.
