This is a fantastic area for walking and a pleasant stroll will take you to the sea where you can enjoy the spectacular Jurassic coastline. The coastal path leads westwards to the charming bays of Chapmans Pool Kimmeridge and Lulworth or eastwards to the seaside resort of Swanage. Swanage is famous for its glorious sandy beach which is ideal for swimming paddling boating fishing and diving. There are plenty of traditional entertainments including pedaloes and Punch and Judy. The town has a steam railway which links with the village of Corfe Castle famous for its mediaeval castle and thatched cottages. On entering this lovely cottage which dates back over 200 years and was skilfully extended and refurbished in 2009/10 you will find yourself in the welcoming and spacious lounge which has plenty of comfy seating and a TV/DVD.
