This lovely stone cottage is situated in the small rural hamlet of Bowcombe within the Bowcombe Valley designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It lies between Shorwell and Carisbrooke with its superb medieval castle. Just a short drive away both villages feature great pubs serving home-cooked food while the lovely small bays and coves of the southwest of the island are nearby. Closest is Brighstone beach just a short drive away while the larger resorts of Ventnor and Shanklin are not much further. The Bowcombe Valley is a lovely walking area several footpaths can be picked up close to the cottage and there is easy access to the Tennyson and Shepherds trails. Step through the front door of this semi-detached cottage into a real gem of a property. The attractive open-plan lounge/dining area is bright and airy furnished with comfortable leather sofas a wood burner and Smart TV with DVD it s a lovely space that affords beautiful views through the windows and French doors over the garden and out to the downs beyond.
