In the early part of the last century the famous painter Augustus John regularly stayed at this cottage. It won t take you long to see why. This Purbeck stone cottage stands in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty surrounded by acres of farmland. Lace up your walking boots and follow the footpaths to some of the most charming little villages on the Isle of Purbeck such as Corfe Castle where you can take in the ruins of the eponymous castle and tuck in to some tasty cuisine from a selection of cafés and restaurants. The hallowed beauty of the Jurassic Coast is nearby while the sandy beach and coastal resort of Swanage is an easy drive away. The cottage is approached via private drive. Once inside you will find a spacious interior recently renovated with lovely wooden floors and rugs on the ground floor. The lounge has two comfortable sofas a pretty window seat TV/DVD and a wood burner. The beautiful conservatory has a dining area for enjoying your evening meals. The fitted kitchen comes complete with electric oven and hob microwave dishwasher fridge/freezer and washing machine. On the ground floor you will encounter a charming single bedroom. A set of carpeted stairs leads to two beautiful double bedrooms with views across the fields. The bathroom also on this floor has a bath separate shower and WC. This semi-detached cottage has a spacious garden with a large lawn and patio area. There s also outdoor furniture if you fancy dining al fresco. A small gate from the garden opens onto a path that crosses a small stream and leads you directly into the acres of fields which is a mixture of arable land and grazing for cows sheep and a small number of alpacas. There s also a tennis court available by prior arrangement. You can park two cars in the private driveway in full view of the cottage.
