The popular and historic coastal village of Bamburgh is just a short drive from the cottage and can also be reached via a rural public footpath. The famous Bamburgh Castle sits up high and is a truly magnificent sight overlooking the long sandy beach which is perfect for long walks with your family and friends. Within the town are a host of great shops restaurants and cafes. A little further along the coast are the popular seaside villages of Seahouses and Beadnell. Beadnell is home to a beautiful bay ideal for water sports. From Seahouses you can take a short boat trip to the Farne Islands a sea bird sanctuary with a colony of Atlantic and Grey Seals.
