Seahouses is an attractive and popular seaside village on the Northumberland coast that is home to a golden sandy beach beautiful coastal paths a golf course with panoramic coastal views and a wide range of village amenities. Just 30 minutes drive away is Alnwick Castle where some of the Harry Potter and Downton Abbey scenes were filmed. Alnwick castle is one of Britain s most iconic castles and dates back to 1309. The castle was built by the Percy family who still inhabit the edifice today. Guests can also visit nearby Bamburgh. This quaint village has Bamburgh castle as a beautiful backdrop and has plenty of good pubs and great restaurants is well worth a visit. Cockle cottage has easy access to the coastal paths. The cottage is approached along a paved path that is set back from the road. Enter through the front door to a hallway and guests will find a cloakroom complete with shower and WC. The hallway then leads into an open-plan lounge and dining area with ample seating including two comfortable sofas set around the wood burner-effect electric fire which you can curl up in front of on an evening and watch the Smart TV. In the dining area guests will find a table with seating for up to four guests to enjoy home-cooked meals. The kitchen is spacious and features everything a family needs including an electric hob and oven microwave fridge freezer and washing machine. Taking the stairs up to the first floor guests will discover two tastefully furnished bedrooms all with a subtle nautical theme.
