Carmarthen is even closer with lots of high street stores. Head further afield and the coastline meets a rich history at Llansteffan with an imposing castle overlooking the beach. Pembrey and Machynys are within easy reach and offer wide expanses of sand country parks and access to the Millennium Coastal Path. (Please check admittance for the various attractions).
