Whitstable is a delightful seaside town with medieval history of the famous low-level marsh area known as The Salts offers plenty of activities for both families and couples alike. The town has a wealth of independent shops and a fine selection of restaurants cafes and pubs. Enjoy the beach and coastal walks as well as a variety of water sports including windsurfing kite surfing and sailing. Whitstable is famous for its oysters which are celebrated every July at the Oyster Festival. Why not hire a bike and go for a ride along the seafront or follow the Crab and Winkle Way or ride along the coast of Herne Bay. Nearby is the city of Canterbury famous for it s Cathedral and also from where the local sea salt was transported for export by sea. A door from the kitchen leads out into a fully enclosed garden with a large lawn complete with children s swing ball and a patio with table and chairs seating six and a charcoal BBQ.
