A short drive away is the town of Bideford known for its attractive harbour and narrow streets and alleyways. These are now home to a range of antique shops whilst the town is also worth a visit for its twice weekly produce and craft markets. An interesting day trip from Bideford is the boat ride out to Lundy Island managed by the National Trust. Lundy is home to diverse wildlife as well as a variety of architecturally interesting ruins.
