Both Lake Windermere and Coniston Water are a short drive from the cottage where guests can try a range of waterside activities from pleasurable boat trips to windsurfing lessons. Enjoy a gentle stroll around the picturesque Tam Hows or for the hardier fell walker the majestic and rugged Langdales are also only a short drive away. The village of Satterthwaite with its village pub is one of the Lake District s secret yet accessible hideaways and a romantic getaway. A short walk takes you to a Children s play area in the village.
