Aptly named the cottage is one of a pair of original foresters cottages deep in the Grwyne Valley just off the famous Beacons Way with walking and biking right from the door second to none. Retreat back for cosy nights by the log burning stove or barbeques under the immense night sky in the depths of the dramatic Brecon Beacons Dark Sky Reserve. In reach of market towns including Crickhowell with butchers independant stores and a useful mountaineering shop Abergavenny with regular markets Michelin restaurants and one of the UK s best food festivals each September. A drive over the hill will find you in the pretty hamlet of Llanthony with ancient Priory and pony trekking. Or stride out from the door and take a peek at the historic hillside church of St Issui at Patrishow at the end of the valley well worth the effort. Approach the pretty doorway and step into this cosy cottage with a welcoming lounge to your left offering a warming wood burner Smart TV and comfy sofas. The kitchen is to your right and is well-equipped for your break away. The Rayburn takes centre stage and heats the space beautifully with a dining table in the middle of the room and a sofa in the corner where you can witness the chef at work! Towards the back of the property on the ground floor you will find a handy boot room where you can hang wet coats and access the rear pathway through the back door - ideal for soggy paws after long walks! There is also a family bathroom. Heading upstairs you will find two king-size bedrooms with spectacular mountain views. An ideal place to retreat to after a day exploring the local area. Outside there is a wonderful paved patio area to the front of the cottage where you can soak up views of the Black Mountains with a cup of coffee on a picnic bench. The steps leads down to the large enclosed garden with lovely trees flowers and decking area with garden furniture in the summer. There is parking available for 2 cars. Need to know: S LEEPING 2 4 : Two upstairs king size bedrooms, each with pretty cotton bed linen and duvets. A cot and highchair can be provided if needed. RELAXING: Cosy cottage sitting room with wood burner (a basket of logs provided), two large sofas, Smart TV with free Sat, DVD player, DVD's, games and puzzles. EATING IN : Well equipped kitchen, with Rayburn, normal electric oven and hob, microwave, coffee machine for espresso and cappuccino and washing machine. Farmhouse table and chairs, and fabulous mountain views. TECHNOLOGY : Wi fi (supplied by satellite and only suitable for browsing). Land line available for emergencies. BATHING : Fresh white bathroom with full sized bath, overhead shower, basin and loo. Towels included. OUTSIDE: The cottage is one of a pair of cottages in this remote Black Mountains valley, there is a pretty, stock fenced cottage garden with lawn, shrubs and great views, barbeque and outdoor furniture available. There is also a front paved patio with a picnic bench and fabulous mountain views. PETS: The cottage is pet friendly, with great walks from the door.
