Set in an ancient hay meadow your every comfort has been considered with cosy wood burning stoves in each hut large fire pits for alfresco dining and incredible craftsmanship both inside and out. Within easy reach of a very good village pub an award winning local store and Norman castle in nearby Longtown and the beautiful border town of Hay on Wye internationally famous for its annual May festival and full of independent pubs shops and bookstores for the rest of the year there is plenty to discover without going very far at all. Excellent walking straight from the huts endless cycling trails both mountain and road with friendly bike hire available in nearby Hay. Canoeing fishing and wild swimming in the River Wye as well as a host of excellent local restaurants around the area. Shepherd Hut ONE offers sleeping/living area: 1 double bed. Living area: woodburner gas hob dining table chairs all pots pans crockery cutlery included. Shepherds Hut TWO offers: wet room: with hot/cold shower leading out to the private wood fired hot tub. Hut THREE: with compost WC. Outside: large enclosed grassed area with fire pit / BBQ. Leisure facilities: wood fired hot tub. Amenities: parking coal and wood on arrival. Arrival: 4pm Need to know: SLEEPS 2 : A sleeping hut with double bed and comfy mattress, cosy blankets and duvet. Bed linen and towels provided. HOT TUB : Ingenious private wood fired hot tub with a vintage vibe, created from the bucket of a 30 tonne excavator machine! Available with wet room shower just above the wood burning stove. RELAXING : The sleeping hut doubles as a cosy retreat, with wood fired stove, Lloyd Loom chair, plenty of games and books available. There is a pull out table for dining, as well as a handmade kitchen, with gas stove, butler sink and solar powered light. There is a solar USB charger for phones as well. There are baskets of wood provided on arrival and more available on an at cost, honesty box system COOKING : There is a gas stove inside the shepherds hut and an enormous fire pit BBQ outside....marshmallows provided! Kitchen worktop, all the pots and pans, plates etc that you should need. KEEPING CLEAN : Piping hot water in the wet room style shower, fresh towels provided. Compost loo in a separate hut easy to make a dash to! DOGS : To respect neighbours livestock, we regret dogs are not permitted at The Hideaway at any time.
