Hay-on-Wye is a few short miles away and we recommend taking the scenic route via the National Trust Begwns for one of the best views of the Welsh mountains you ll ever see. Or drive up the mountain road towards Hay Bluff - there s often an ice cream van parked on a sunny day in what has to be the most scenic spot in the area so it s worth a trip for the view alone. Hay-on-Wye is just 5 miles along the road. There is plenty to do in the area including canoeing and kayaking which are available to rent throughout the season (April-October). Leisure facilities: bike and Vespa hire available to rent from the owner. Play facilities: table tennis area private use after 6pm. The accommodation offers ONE bedroom: super-king-size (which can be made into a twin on request) and a sleeping area with 12 single pod bunks. There are 3 shower rooms each with shower and WC. Lounge: open-plan with wood burner and TV. Kitchen/diner: with electric oven and hob. Outside: with terrace. Amenities: parking. Bed linen electric central heating and Free WiFi included. Need to know: SLEEPING 10 14: Five star graded by Visit Wales, there are twelve dorm style bunks, plus a king size bedroom (as GQ magazine quoted....perfect for passed out Stags!). Each with fresh cotton sheets, charging points and reading lights, and well designed to ensure as much privacy as possible. RELAXING: Large open plan living space, with huge sofa and wood burning stove. An alternative to the stairs, why not try the slide....so heaps of fun to be had! There is a sound system, good mobile coverage and wi fi available too. DINING: Fully equipped kitchen and dining space as part of the open plan living room, meals can be pre ordered and delivered throughout your stay, or nip next door to the great restaurant and enjoy great views over the river, as well as a very decent meal! Nibbles and supper can be arranged on arrival. The bunkhouse can also offer breakfast each morning, simply order upon check in. OUTSIDE: There is a private terrace area, which is perfect for enjoying drinks outside on a sunny day. There is also a table tennis area which is available each day for private use after 6pm. KEEPING CLEAN: Three stylish bathrooms, each with power shower, basin and loo. There is a wash down point and laundry area as well. DISABLED ACCESS: The bunkhouse has good wheelchair access, as well as a disabled shower room.
