Be inspired by The Sill the National Landscape Discovery Centre in the Northumberland National Park or visit the historic abbeys and grand houses for which the Borders are renowned. Ideal for a family holiday this breath-taking region has something for everyone. The cottage is one of four properties built on the site of old colliery buildings in Scremerston village. The ground floor embraces an open-plan design that incorporates a lounge/kitchen/diner. The fully equipped kitchen has an electric oven and hob fridge/freezer microwave washer/dryer dishwasher and there s a separate dining area with seating for four guests. There are also some comfortable sofas in the lounge area to unspool at the end of the day. Large fully-glazed patio doors lead out to the private deck with garden furniture. There s also an electric flame effect fire in a feature fireplace and a TV/DVD. Upstairs are two comfortable bedrooms in the eaves: one double and one twin with sloping ceilings / ample head height. Both bedrooms share a contemporary-style fully tiled family bathroom with bathtub and walk-in shower cubicle. The cottage has access to its own private decked area with garden furniture and there are several private spots for relaxing and picnics in the shared grounds which are a particular feature of this complex of properties.
