The South Hams is an area of exceptional beauty and contrast with river estuaries rolling hills and thatched cottages surrounding the lovely old towns of Dartmouth Totnes Kingsbridge Salcombe Modbury and Ivybridge. An ideal spot for enjoying both country and woodland walks there are also many beautiful family beaches to visit in the area. Amongst the many local attractions nearby are Dartmoor National Park the English Riviera Exeter Plymouth Haldon Forest and the South Devon Railway. On entering this delightful cottage you will find yourself in the elegant and welcoming lounge where you can snuggle in front of the TV/DVD and enjoy the traditional wood burner (first basket of logs included additional logs can be purchased onsite). Throughout the property you will also find a number of traditional features including oak doors and slate flooring across the ground floor. Going up a couple of steps takes you into the attractive and airy kitchen/diner. The light and stylish kitchen is equipped with everything you may need during your stay including an electric oven and hob microwave fridge/freezer and dishwasher. The dining area is ideally situated whether you re sitting down for a big meal or grabbing a quick snack. French doors will lead you out onto the terrace. There is also a WC downstairs. Heading upstairs you will find three bedrooms. There s a king-size with en-suite shower room and WC a cosy twin and a comfortable king-size (which can be made into 2 6 singles via zip-and-link on request). You ll also find the bathroom upstairs complete with shower over the bath and WC. All of the properties are eco-friendly and are supplied by a biomass boiler and solar panels. Stepping outside you can relax in the spacious gardens shared with the other cottages in the complex. On site you are welcome to enjoy such amenities as the all-year-round shared indoor heated swimming pool complete with shower and changing facilities. You can relax on the veranda with its shared sunken hot tub plenty of seating and sun loungers taking in the beautiful countryside views. BBQ area is available next to the properties. Nearby is an area of community woodland which you are welcome to explore. There is also a shared utility room containing the washing machine and tumble dryer and a heated drying room for muddy boots wet coats and secure bicycle storage. Parking is available for two cars.
