The glorious Dorset village of Maiden Newton can be accessed by train bus or car and is ideally situated for exploring the many stunning places of interest in the surrounding area. The cottage is conveniently located on the main route through the village and is within walking distance to the pub restaurant and shops which the village has on offer. Steeped in history Dorset s beautiful landscape of rolling chalk downland and hidden valleys affords wonderful walking. The towns of Dorchester Sherborne and Yeovil are easily accessible and there are many National Trust properties and gardens to visit including Montacute and Stourhead. The popular seaside town of Weymouth with its sandy beach is an easy 30 minute drive and the coast road from Weymouth to Lyme Regis is simply breathtaking. The market town of Bridport and the beach and harbour at West Bay are within a 30 minute drive. In addition to this there are many attractions including Corfe Castle Monkey World and Abbotsbury Swannery. Enter the cottage through the front door which will lead you into the cosy lounge where there is a cosy wood burner to snuggle up in front of as well as a TV and DVD player. Moving on there is the kitchen/diner which has an electric oven and hob fridge/freezer microwave dishwasher and washing machine. There is ample room around the dining table to enjoy leisurely meals with family and friends. Also on the ground floor is the bathroom which has a shower over the bath and a WC. Heading upstairs you will encounter the first bedroom which is at the front of the property and is a light and airy room with a double bed. Completing the first floor is the second bedroom containing twin beds which overlooks the wonderful rear garden. Stepping outside to the rear of the property and accessed via a shared pathway and external stone steps is an enclosed cottage garden with seating a perfect spot to admire the gorgeous flower garden. At the front of the cottage roadside parking is generally available immediately outside or close by.
